Director of Business Operations- SAGE, Outpatient, Counterpoint (Hybrid Position) 

 

 Salary Range:$78,561-$83,870/year ( $37.77-$40.32/hour)  

Morrison Child and Family Services is a non-profit organization providing a continuum of trauma informed, culturally responsive programs and services for youth and families in residential, shelter, respite, community & school-based outpatient, family preservation and prevention services.  As one of the largest mental health and substance use recovery services serving 7,000 youth in Portland, Oregon and the state of Washington, our goal is to promote a vibrant culture of self-care, creativity, and overall resilience that contribute to the success of our youth and families. The Director of Business Operations is responsible for all facets of internal and external business relationships and operations for assigned Outpatient programs.  This position will work with the Outpatient Division Director, Senior Management, Administration, and other program staff to develop and ensure successful and efficient business operations. This position works with all stakeholders to respond to business needs and supports the programs to successfully work with both Morrison departments and outside constituents.  The positions oversees all administrative services within the designated programs. Program:Outpatient Services 
Morrison Child and Family Services delivers outpatient mental health services to children, ages 2 through 18. At the core of our work is a belief in the importance of acknowledging strengths and creating resilience in each child.  Our skilled therapists collaborate with each child and their support system to identify a treatment approach that addresses the child’s mental health symptoms and leads to improved functioning in all areas of the child’s life.  We strive to provide culturally responsive services and respect the values and unique perspectives of all our clients.

Program: Counterpoint Day Treatment
The program was created to provide therapeutic services for children who have experienced trauma and abuse and who have had engaged in sexually inappropriate behaviors. Our program is designed to help prevent and eliminate future issues of sexual behavioral problems, and reduce adverse effects from trauma and abuse, and to empower youth by guiding and helping them acquire pro-social skills to increase successful transitions to the community.

  • Develops and continually improves operational structure and oversees business operations of the assigned programs through collaboration with administrative departments. Ensuring agency culture flows throughout daily operations to provide exceptional client care.  Follows established Morison business practices at all times in conjunction with program business operations. 
  • Oversee the general management of business operations and ensure adherence to established policies, quality standards, regulations, and key metrics.  Establishing and maintaining program and clinic operational expectation metrics and provide analytics with which to evaluate and manage business operations. Establishes a system of accountability for achieving operational expectations. 
  • Benchmark, develop and implement best practices to promote efficiencies and quality enhancement in every aspect of assigned program business operations.  Coordinates with all departments within administration to ensure compliance with all contract requirements and federal and state regulations to develop efficient and effective business systems and processes. 
  • Manages and coordinates complex projects.
  • Develop and monitor budgets to ensure fiscal management is stable in all departments. Work closely with finance throughout the fiscal year and during annual budget development.
  • Maintain and leverage relationships with referral sources, networks and local communities. Establish and maintain effective relationships with all stakeholders, effectively communicating to enhance customer service, develop contracts and manage compliance.
  • Strategically plan facility needs collaborating with administration to ensure that assigned facilities provide a safe and sufficient workplace.
  • Ensure staff are trained annually on contractual and agency requirements.
  • Oversee administrative services for the Division. Ensure services are efficient, maintain a high level of customer service and ensure compliance is met in all areas.
  • Participates in assigned staff meetings, other meetings and committees. 
  • Hold each other and yourself accountable in the equity and inclusion of all individuals within Morrison, our clients, and our community stakeholders.
  • Supervise assigned staff. Recruit, hire, complete performance evaluations and corrective action, and ensure training is completed, following established agency guidelines.
  • Participates in the practice and continuing implementation of the Sanctuary Model.

Experience/Education Requirements 

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, social services, sociology, psychology, public health, healthcare management, business, or related field
  • 5 years management/leadership experience, including direct supervision of employees. 
  • 1 year of project management or experience coordinating systems.  
  • Advanced skills in using Word processing, Excel spreadsheets, databases and email applications. 
  • Ability to pass a Department of Human Services (DHS) Criminal Background Check

Preferred Position Qualifications:(preference may be given to those who hold these qualifications; however, candidates who meet the required position qualifications are encouraged to apply)

  • Technical and objective writing skills
  • Experience with program and department budgets
  • Experience in social services/mental health field
  • General understanding of the Oregon Medicaid system
  • EHR/EMR experience

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 80% of the time
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with clients and staff. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about sites and access supplies and transport equipment up to 10lbs
  • Must be able to travel between sites in the Portland Metro area throughout the week.
